

Due date for applications is Sunday, March 15th.
General Tasks:
- Opening or closing the bookstore, and managing the store throughout the day
- Engaging with customers, providing information about the bookstore and events, handling requests, ringing up purchases and handling cash
- Answering calls, emails, and social media messages
- Managing and delegating volunteers
- Coordinating individual tasks with other managers
- Processing incoming books – deciding which books to take, and then pricing and categorizing them (we will train thoroughly on this task; we know most folks have no prior experience)
We also have more specific duties that are assigned based on employee skills and preferences, such as:
- Putting together content and posting for social media
- Updating event calendars online and in store
- Tracking local author purchases and events
- Event planning and organization
- Volunteer coordination
- Kids story time planning
- Craft event planning
- Facilitating book clubs
