The Company of Books is a not-for-profit general used bookstore located in the Del Ray neighbor of Alexandria, Virginia. We have two floors of books in a variety of genres, both fiction and nonfiction.
We also have a third floor for events and general hang out space with boardgames, crafting supplies, tables, and comfy chairs. We even have a separate doored room if you need meeting space. Let our third floor be your third space!

There is a parking lot behind the building, and our customers are welcome to park in spots #6, and #41-44. There are two entrances to the bookstore, one facing Mount Vernon and one to the parking lot.

Sun-Tue 11am-6pm
Wed 11am-9pm (open late for game nights, but of course shoppers are welcome!)
Thu 11am-6pm
Fri 11am-7pm
Sat 10am-7pm
